Di Giovanni and Cremona last one set. Zapata-Guerrero go to the second round

For one set, Italian wild cards Simone Cremona and Lorenzo Di Giovanni were able to level things up against Teodoro Zapata and Francisco Guerrero. The Spaniards, respectively number 47 and number 78 in the FIP ranking, then took the lead, closing 7-5 6-1 in one hour and nine minutes and earning a place in the second round of Milano Premier Padel. Cremona and Di Giovanni played point-to-point throughout the first set, suffering the break in the 12th game. In the second set, however, there was no history, with Zapata/Guerrero who will now face Argentines Federico Mouriño and Agustin Silingo, seeded number 16.

The Italian-Argentinian Nicolas Suescun, who came from the qualifiers with his partner Victor Mena, was also eliminated: the two were beaten 6-4 7-6 by another qualified pair, the French Benjamin Tison and the Spaniard Aitor Garcia, now awaiting Juan Tello and Alex Ruiz (6).
